Martha's Story
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had sensitive skin. But in 2023, everything changed. My hands, wrists, and face began breaking out severely, and no matter what I did, the reactions wouldn’t stop. Desperate for answers, I underwent allergy testing for over 70 chemicals and minerals commonly found in our environment. The results were shocking—I was allergic to virtually every soap, cleaner, and hygiene product in my household.
For years, I had wanted to learn how to make soap, but this experience forced my hand. I scoured the internet, researched ingredients, and carefully selected what worked best for my sensitive skin. One of my key discoveries was aloe, which I now grow right on my farm and incorporate into my formulas.
Not only does this soap not irritate my skin or trigger allergic reactions, but it has actively helped heal the damage caused by years of exposure to harsh chemicals and additives.
Southern Belle Essentials was born out of necessity—but it has grown into a mission: to create safe, nourishing skincare for those who struggle with sensitivities, just like I did.
